Lake Patenggang or "Situ Patenggang" is located at the foot of Mt. Patuha, about 40 kilometres south of Bandung, with an altitude of about 1,600 metres above sea level. Due to its high position, the temperature is cool and fresh, can be up to 10 oC and sometimes is hazy the whole day. Lake Patenggang has beautiful natural charm and alluring place, you will find the natural green shades on the way to Lake Petanggang. Shady trees and the expanse of tea plantations with dense leaves create more dominant. The lake looks a green carpet, and tea plantations surround Lake Patenggang makes the atmosphere so peaceful in nature mountain cool and clean valve. Additionally, strawberry plantations will add a special attraction along the road to Lake Patenggang.

Patenggang lake not only offer the charm of its beauty nature, it also contains the famous and historic island, named Asmara Island. Pulau Asmara is located in the middle of the lake with a large stone called Rock of Love "Batu Cinta" which has legendary story. There is a belief for anyone who arrive with a partner to the Rock of Love and have gone around the Island, then the relationship will be durable and everlasting.

Besides the beautiful nature, the tourism site is good for family as it offers hot spring water swimming pool, restaurants, a variety of souvenirs or fresh fruits which you can take home as souvenirs, a recreation park for kids. If you want to stay longer there are also several bungalows, hotels as well as other supporting facilities. On the banks of the lake, the boats with bright color and beautiful are ready to take you for a drive around the lake, if you want to drive around you can also rent a waterbike that worth trying. Either way, you can just sit around enjoy the tranquility of the lake in places that have been provided.
Np: please visit this place in the early morning, if you arrive in the afternoon the fog will come down normally, so the visibility will be only 1-2 metres
